I have already done two of this type of model and gave them each five stars. This is MUCH better.Now, I was prepared to be disappointed, as the photos seemed to show a plastic engine cowling and plastic wheels. Not so! They are die castings, along with a tiny die cast pilot which is barely visible in the photo!! There are two disappointments: that the wheels need a touch of adhesive to be confident (as per the instructions), and the screw holding the prop on looks a bit naff, but it's so tiny that when it's done, only you will know.The rest, however, is wonderful. The metal is thicker than the stainless steel types I’m used to. However, it’s brass, soft and easily cut and bent, so works fine, and can be re-bent when necessary. While it looks super fiddly, and kind of is, it is beautifully formed with superb instructions, so the only thing that’s difficult is the size. It’s about 45 mm span and feels smaller. The design of the thing is a joy, very, very clever to give lots of features with a minimal parts count. It neatly includes a helpful tool and a practice piece.After less than an hour, on the smoked glass base, with labels, it looks fantastic and you feel you've earned it!I love it!

以前別のモデルを購入して以来、ずっと気になっていました。またいつか新しいものを作りたいと思い、カタログと睨めっこして、一年ぶりに購入しました。三枚の翼やプロペラ、機関銃まで精巧に再現されており、少しずつ完成に近づく姿を楽しみながら、時間を忘れて作成できました。金属の質感とレトロな雰囲気が素敵で、完成してからも卓上インテリアとして重宝しています。一箇所、金属の折り曲げ方を間違えて折れてしまいましたが、運良く他のパーツで支えられる部分でしたので助かりました。他の部分だったら危なかったかもしれません。細部への作り込みにエアロベースさんの作品へのこだわりをかんじました。また別のモデルもコレクションしていきたいです。
