It is anti-fungal and anti-bacterial. It works, for sure. Works on toe nail fungus, bug bites, rashes.etc. My husband is using it for a 20 year stubborn case of lichen planus on his legs that he has tried EVERYTHING to effect a cure. Emuaid is clearing it up! HOWEVER, BE AWARE PROLONGED USE OF COLLOIDAL SILVER CAN CAUSE ARGYRIA. That is a blue discoloration of the skin that is permanent... caused by exposure to the sun on areas treated with colloidal silver. Ingestion of colloidal silver can result in generalized blue-gray discoloration of the skin. I know of NO reports of blue skin from this product. Emuaid states there have been no reports... But do not everuse it. Research argyria and colloidal silver and use with caution. The first ingredient of this product is argentum metallica. That is silver. I do think Emuaid should publish a caution regarding the possiblity that this might occur with prolonged use. However, I have also read reports that it cannot occur with the new smaller nano particles used in modern preperations. I have questioned Emuaid regarding this repeatedly...with NO RESPONSE. Bottom line: Emuaid does what it says it will do!!! You're here because you have something horribly painful going on. My particular situation was a fissure and hemorrhoids which is just as much fun as it sounds. I had previously tried all of the OTC remedies, including witch hazel products, creams, wipes, stool softeners, etc. I'm a very healthy and active person and this was destroying my life humiliatingly. Before this I had also ordered Fissure Control which is an oil. I hated to drop this kind of money on one product but you know when you get to that point of desperation, you'll try anything. (I had also spoken to my PCP about help and he offered me a prescription suppository which was a cool $400 and wouldn't be covered by insurance.) This product seems to work great! You must keep yourself clean and you must be extremely consistent with your regimen, but I really do feel like after 36 hours or so it makes a huge difference. The texture is not too thick and it smells like essential oils (think tea tree), and it doesn't burn. The reason I give it four stars instead of five is because I did end up going to a colorectal specialist who praised me for what I had been trying to do for my own healing, and checked out the ingredient list on this Emuaid. He did say that it's almost the same as the Calmoseptine I also had (whoops on my part) and it's half the price. So if you've read this far, and you're serious about healing, get Calmoseptine instead. From what I understand (though I didn't compare exactly) the ingredients are almost exactly the same and you can get Calmoseptine at Walgreens or here on Amazon for less than $25. So I just put this on here to say that yes Emuaid is a great product, but at least for anal fissure and hemorrhoid relief, there's a cheaper option. And finally, if you're in pain, please do go get checked out. The exam was super quick and not painful, amazingly.
