For years I only saw them in the large sizes but the smaller ones, along with needle-nose version, are really handy to keep around. **Q: Cananyof these open the quick release buckles on a fanny pack?** A: Dear, It can meet your this functional requirements **Q: Where made?** A: Seriously? The answer is always the same when you see a collection tools around $25 bucks. CHINA **Q: Why do they always become loose after you have readjusted them?** A: The trick to using locking pliers (they were called "vise-grips" when I first saw them years ago) is adjusting the tension with the end screw so the jaws lock with just enough tension to hold securely without damaging the material you're gripping. I start with the screw over-tight and gently apply pressure, then slowly unscrew while holding the jaws until the jaws can securely "snap" close. It's a feel thing you may need to practice but once you get it, it'll be a relatively quick adjustment next time. If the jaws are slipping loose, open the jaws, tighten the screw, close the jaws gently as far as they'll go, and ease up on the screw until you have a secure hold.
