Review: Saved My Wrist! - I am pretty sure I would have broken (or at least severely injured) myself without these guards - I can vouch for their efficacy. I don't skate much anymore, and formerly mostly used my longboard as a campus commuter back when I was in college. Recently I have been trying to get my husky to pull me on my old longboard, which is not going particularly well. She basically doesn't want to pull at all until there's an animal to chase and then she wants to kamikaze into it regardless of obstacles, traffic, her general safety, my general safety, etc. Usually I can control her, but there were wild turkeys in our neighborhood today, she goes to pull full speed, I figure I can let her because they are in a cul-de-sac, so whatever, but then a car was coming from out of the cul-de-sac, so I go to foot break, and as I am doing that she cuts perpendicular to me with all her force and just pulls me right off the board. 100% of that initial impact went into my left wrist and then I scraped up my arm a little bit too and hit my hip as I fully wiped out. So my arm hurts, my hip hurts, and I am quite sore, but my wrist feels fantastic. The guard's still in pretty good shape too.

I am pretty sure I would have broken (or at least severely injured) myself without these guards - I can vouch for their efficacy.
