FAQs: Why can't the filaments stick to the build bed? 1. Check the temperature setting before printing, PLA filaments have lower extrusion temperature; 2. Check if the plate surface has been used for a long time, it is recommended to replace it with our new one to ensure an strong first layer adhesion; 3. If the first layer has poor adhesion, it is recommended to re-level the print substrate to reduce the distance between the nozzle and the surface plate; 4. If the effect is not good, it is recommended to try printing the draft before printing. OVERTURE’s purple filament is one of the better options I’ve used, especially at this price point. Pros: Color & Finish: The purple hue is vibrant without being garish. It has a nice semi-gloss finish that really pops on detailed prints like figurines and display pieces. Winding & Spool: The spool is neatly wound, which matters more than most people realize — no tangles or snags, which means fewer failed prints due to filament jams or inconsistent feeding. Print Performance: Layer adhesion is solid. I printed at 200°C with a 60°C bed and got smooth, clean results with minimal stringing. It handled retraction and bridging well, even on more complex geometries. Compatibility: Works great with my Ender 3 V2 and also performed well on a Prusa MK3S+. I’ve gone through nearly the entire spool without any noticeable inconsistencies or clogging. Cons: Not the strongest PLA: While the surface quality is excellent, this isn’t the toughest PLA I’ve worked with. If you need something more impact-resistant or functional under stress, you might want to look at PLA+ or PETG. Slight odor when printing: Nothing overpowering, but there’s a noticeable sweet-plastic smell during printing. It’s not unpleasant — just something to be aware of if printing in a small space. Final Verdict: For hobbyists, cosplay builders, and general-purpose 3D printing, OVERTURE’s PLA delivers reliable performance and vibrant results. As someone who prints regularly for both functional parts and hobby models, I’ve gone through several brands of PLA. OVERTURE’s purple filament is one of the better options I’ve used, especially at this price point. Pros: Color & Finish: The purple hue is vibrant without being garish. It has a nice semi-gloss finish that really pops on detailed prints like figurines and display pieces. Winding & Spool: The spool is neatly wound, which matters more than most people realize — no tangles or snags, which means fewer failed prints due to filament jams or inconsistent feeding. Print Performance: Layer adhesion is solid. I printed at 200°C with a 60°C bed and got smooth, clean results with minimal stringing. OVERTURE is my go-to filament, and this TPU is no exception. I used it on my Bambu A1, and it printed exactly as expected. The filament is consistently sized, feeds smoothly, and produces clean, flexible parts without any tuning headaches. I’ve had no clogs, no inconsistent layers, and no surprises mid-print. The 95A softness strikes a good balance between flexibility and strength, making it easy to work with while still holding up in practical use. For the price, the quality is hard to beat. If you’re looking for dependable TPU that just works, this is an easy recommendation.
