We installed steps and boxes/hammocks on the wall of our living room for our cats, and one of the tallest boxes at the end has sight windows cut into it. Within minutes, our kittens realized they could jump from this window onto a hanging lamp shade which was not sturdy enough to hold the weight of the kittens. This dome window works perfectly, true to size for what we needed and it allows our cats to still poke their heads through the sight window and look around, but keeps them from skydiving out of it. The lip flange has predrilled holes that were wide enough to fit typical screws without cracking the plastic, and the flange is about half an inch thick, which was wide enough for us to get a good attachment for our use. I also like the quality of the plastic, it’s very clear and doesn’t have any haziness fogging up the view through it.
