It gives a nice burn for these jars. You always get a nice burn to the whole circumference of the jar. I only learned this through trial and error. **Q: What is the lid material? I see both plastic and metal lids with the photography/reviews.** A: I bought the 12 they came with metal lids and when I bought the 24 pack they were plastic lids **Q: Would a 4x3 rectangle label fit on these jars?** A: 4 inch good for around.
