VHT Engine Metallic Spray Paint has excellent durability and superior heat and chemical resistance. It is specially formulated engine spray paint to withstand corrosion, rust, salt spray, chemicals and additives of today's gasoline blends and degreasers. VHT's Engine Metallics is a unique blend of urethane and ceramic resins, which produce a long-lasting finish for engines, engine accessories or wherever a tough durable heat and chemical resistant finish is needed. Engine Metallics paint coating creates a cool sparkling metallic finish and withstands intermittent temperatures up to 650°F. This VHT paint is ideal for headers, engine blocks, starters, brackets, water pumps, valve covers, transmissions, and differential covers. VHT is part of a multi high performance coating system for the ultimate protection and quality. The coating system consists of engine primer, engine color, and engine clear. Review: Great paint, going on 6 months no real wear - Love the color and the way it looks on my calipers. Put it on one night that I was bored. Had it on for roughly 6 months and still hasn't faded one bit. Just sprayed the calipers with some brake cleaner then hit them with the paint. I didnt even use primer even though they reccomend it. I scrub them with a bottle brush every time I wash the car once a week and still going strong. I highly reccomend this paint!

**Q: Do I also need to get the gloss clear one if I'm using it to paint brake calipers or just this paint is enough?**
A: The paint is very durable if applied to a clean dry surface, I have always applied multiple coats, waiting about 10 minutes between coats.The cLear gloss will add a little extra protection but it's mainly for added shine. I have used vht paint on motorcycle projects, rims, engines, pipes, parts, very happy with it

**Q: How many cans I need to paint the 4 caliper covers of my car?**
A: I just painted all 4 of my calipers on my ‘18 mustang GT and I only used 1 can. I put 7 coats each caliper — you’ll be MORE than fine with 2 cans at a maximum. I wish i hadn’t wasted money to get 4 cans.

**Q: Does this have metal flakes like a candy paint? How many cans for a bicycle?**
A: The Black Pearl does have metal flake and pearl coat in it. I used 3 cans to do my Honda CBR600F4I motorcycle and it looks awesome.

**Q: I want to use the gold flake on the inside of my hood. Will this work and did it have a shimmer to it?**
A: Great glow. But looking for gold this a orange.
