Review: Essential travel gear, fits everywhere I've tried, never had a failure - This and a few of its Anker GaN siblings (various sizes and wattages) are some of my favorite regular use chargers. I travel frequently and keep multiple chargers spread across my various bags to provide a little redundancy. (You may have experienced both (a) loss of a charger and (b) failure of a charger. Both can be ugly little problems if you are running, arrive at places outside of Instacart hours, have major presentations, etc.). This charger and its siblings are “narrow” and have always fit in hotel or airplane outlets for me. It protrudes out from the wall a bit more than some competitors but for me, that protrusion is better than width or height. I’ve been in hotels where the gap allotted for the outlet is too tight to the outlet for a wide flat design. It is also compact enough that I haven’t found any situations where I needed a little cord extender to enable plugging this in. I used to carry a very short extender for a different brand of charger. In terms of Anker, I don’t think I’ve ever had an Anker charger fail. This includes the super inexpensive ones. I trust these (though still carry a redundant charger for reasons stated). Power delivery is good, it charges what it is rated to charge, etc. The folding plugs are a nice feature. Would buy again and have purchased multiple times and related variants. (My whole family and some of “my people” also carry them.) These are essential travel gear for me.

I am impressed with the quality but Anker usually delivers very good chargers and accessories. I tried the usb-a connector to a usb-c connector on my phone and it was fast charging my samsung phone. I also tried it with a neewer battery that has a built in usb-c charging port and it was backwards compatible with that as well. Sometimes these chargers don't work with usb-a cables. As far as ease of use, how can it be easier than plugging it in? The connections are good, it has two usb-c and one usb-a connection point.

**Q: What is the differen between this and the new ganprime 65w?**
A: One important difference for those considering use with the Macbook M2 Magsafe cable: The description of the GaNPrime version specifically states: "This charger does not support MagSafe charging for M2 MacBooks." I contacted Anker support and they confirmed this. They say the Nano II version WILL support Magsafe charging IF that is the only cable connected and drawing power from the charger. They explained: "Because of the charging strategy of the M2 Macbook that disconnects its MagSafe port when it receives a power adjustment, there will be disconnections when charging the M2 MacBook with the original Magsafe charging cable with multi-port chargers including the GaNPrime chargers." Therefore, avoid the GaNPrime model if you intend to use the charger with the M2 Magsafe cable, and also be aware that even with the Nano II model, you should only connect one device to the charger when using the Magsafe cable.

**Q: Will this superfast charge 2 devices at once?**
A: Yes if they are on the 2 usb c ports or the usb a is the only pne being used but if all three are being used the usb a port wont fast charge but the 2 c ports still will i actually bought this for the anker powercore III elite 87 watt since it dosent support pass-through charging unfortunately

A: Works great on Surface Pro 8 with the Anker 10’ 100w cable A8758

**Q: Does this charge a 2019 16" macbook pro that uses a usb-c cable (not magsafe)?**
A: I slow charge my 2019 16” MacBook Pro using the 18W iPad Pro charger. Doesn’t keep up when I’m using it, but catches up overnight fine. The 65W here would be plenty if plugged in over night.

This charger quickly became one of my favorite travel accessories. The three ports make it easy to charge multiple devices without carrying several chargers, and the compact size saves a lot of space in my backpack. Charging speed has been excellent with both my phone and laptop. The build quality feels solid, and it doesn't get excessively hot even when charging more than one device. If you travel often or simply want to reduce cable clutter, this is a great option.
