For me it's about 6 feet wide. **Q: How good is a spreader for ice melt** A: Works fine with ice melt **Q: Would I be able to spread my zinnia seeds next spring/summer?** A: I would think so. Don't know the size of Zinnia seeds but settings provide for pretty big opening for distribution.
