We've fished them with worm baits, and also squid/fish baits. I've found the green tubing above the hooks is particularly useful to keep a worm from slipping up or down (and off!) the hook. Hooks are strong enough to hold a decent fish (my son had a couple of 5lb bass on them), but also have enough bend in them to be able to bend them out of snags when needed - so instead of losing the entire rig we just swap the hook out. Thank you.** A: If big lug its ok to go over, but also you can pull the cover back with a bit if persuasion, i have done this a few times. I really like these rigs and they have become my go to.
