**Q: How long after seeding should i have the first cut if seeded in the autumn?**
A: To be honest, I would leave the seeding until spring when it warms up. Aerate your lawn now. In the spring give the lawn a weed and moss killer. Scarify it, give it good rake and then seed when it warms up.
Autumn can be a problem if you get leaves covering the grass and if you have clay soil the ground can get waterlogged and the seed will rot.
That is what I did last year and had to re-do it late spring. It looks good now. I mowed it about 2 weeks after I put the seed down. Hope this helps.

A: This is good. But it’s more about leaving it as long as possible to allow roots to grow to soak up water.

**Q: Would airation before seeding help**
A: Firstly cut the lawn and rake or scarify to remove thatch and debris. This will allow the seeds to get in contact with the soil so they can grow. If the lawn is compacted you can also aerate it before seeding which can help.

Amazing results in sandy soil that dries hard and seeds and seedling shoots normally easily pulled up during mowing but these seeds work really well. Nice fine blades of grass and long roots really give amazing results.
