Couldn’t get it started using the blue thing but it went right in with out it just using the black part. I don’t know if it was just me or the tool. But yeah saved me big time and torque to spec. I haven’t used the red t handle ones on desertcart but judging from the pictures and reviews if you don’t want to spend the $ on name brand these are the ones you want. Review: Great kit for some quick DIY work on my motorcycle - Worked great. I had various stripped bolt holes on my motorcycle's ('06 Yamaha R6) oil pump cover (bike is aluminum). This kit did exactly what it's supposed to do. My only tip is to make sure and use THREAD OIL when you're tapping the threads for the inserts and for every turn you make, back it out a 1/4 to 1/2 turn. This will ensure that all the shavings exit the hole and reduce the risk of you breaking the tapping piece. I couldn't get the BLUE insert tool to work, so I just discarded it and used the metal insert handle by itself. The instructions, especially in regard to using the prewinder could be much better. What annoys me is that it doesn't come with a few different lengths of insert. As far as how durable the tap is, I have no idea since I only used it once on magnesium.
