Excellent Review: the ebony in the set is not black, at least not black-black, it is more of a very dark wood tone. The paints are beautiful, vibrant, and almost dye-like -- also means nothing is opaque and you won't see anything when painting on darker fabric. Tried this on cotton and linen as well, works pretty well.
