Review: Nice light taste, hydrates well - I was used to flavored version of electrolyte powders but was pleasantly surprised that I appreciated the more neutral taste of this one. It has a slight saltiness when mixed as directed, but not overwhelming. I can even tolerate it just fine a bit more concentrated. I have found it dissolves more quickly if I use a couple teaspoons of slightly warm water at the start and then add colder water to finish.
Review: Regulates my orthostatic hypertension and blood volume issues - NormaLyte Pure electrolyte powder packets taste like they added electrolytes to water, but made it to where you can't really taste it much. I adjusted the WHO ORS formula in 64oz of water to mimic NormaLyte Pure packets when I ran out, and the flavor is similar but slightly more ugh. Being autistic, I can recognize the possible electrolytes flavor vs the flavoring NormaLyte used. NormaLyte Pure packets are easier to use than mixing my own solution -- not to mention way more effective, probably because there is potassium in there. It mixes well, though I notice stirring it can result in buildup on some straws/bottoms of cups, depending on the design. I buy the NormaLyte Pure bundle -- packets and capsules -- which is most cost efficient for me. Even without the bundle, it is way less expensive than spending $8.97 on a box of LMNT every single day. The bundle lasts me about a week -- and I work in retail. NormaLyte Pure has helped regulate my blood volume/sodium needs for orthostatic hypertension, giving me a LOT of my life back that I'd felt I'd lost -- I have so much more energy now! Plain water dilutes me too much. NormaLyte Pure electrolyte powder packets taste like they added electrolytes to water, but made it to where you can't really taste it much. I really like this product. In the mornings, I mix all my unflavored powder supplements together in a mug of hot water and chug it before I have my coffee. I do a scoop of collagen, a scoop of creatine, a scoop of fiber and 1/2 a tube of electrolytes (to make the bag last longer). It dissolves easily in warm water and the slight saltiness is better than any sweet artificial flavor. Awesome for traveling too, and work trips when you just don't have the time to stay hydrated. I do wish the bag was about $10 cheaper though...
