**Q: what license do you need to operate this radio legally?**
A: You need a HAM or Part 90 license to lawfully operate this radio.

**Q: Does it do aprs receive and transmit,  or just receive only? the advertisement says two different things.**
A: The AnyTone 878 V2 Plus has both APRS receive and transmit. This is just for your GPS location and doesn't include APRS messaging or any other advanced APRS features.

**Q: Is this aswell 40 chanel cb radio?**
A: While it is a swell radio, it is not a 40-channel CB radio. Rather, it is designed and intended for Part 90 (commercial) and Part 97 (Amateur) use and operation. For either, a license is required.

**Q: Can this be used as a mobile radio by connecting external antenna?**
A: Yes, actually. The max power out is 6-7 Watts. We recommend a wire SMA to SO-239 antenna adapter to avoid stress on the radio antenna connector.
