Review: Some relief for my Great Dane - So I use the “Eczema” version of this product and it works really well. I’ve had eczema my entire life, all over my body. I do use a steroid cream when it’s exceptionally bad, however I’ve found this works amazing for daily maintenance. Also this is a way more affordable option, especially if your insurance doesn’t cover your medication. I recently purchased this “Psoriasis” version as a last resort for my Great Dane. He’s had a really bad large dry spot near his tail/butt that just would not go away (it’s probably been almost a year). He had hair loss and would obsessively lick the area (probably due to it being dry and itchy) which made the hair loss worse. The vet didn’t have too many answers. Mostly associated it with him probably sitting on that area (which where it’s at just didn’t seem likely). I tried adding some salmon oil/vitamin E to his food (vet recommended) and that did seem to help, but it wasn’t until this product that it’s been healing and going away. I only put it on him when I can monitor him and make sure he won’t lick the area. But after only a few uses there was definitely a difference. His hair is now starting to grow back and his skin it getting better. He also doesn’t seem to need to lick there as much throughout the day so I think he’s finally experiencing some relief which makes me so happy. I know this is advertised to humans, but if you’ve exhausted all your options and your dog has a bad dry spot, maybe give this a try. I really think it could help. This cream helps with the itch I have occasionally on my scalp at the base of my neck. **Q: does this help treat psoriasis and make it go away?** A: This cream will help keep your skin moist and relieves the itch a little. It did not help my psoriasis go away. I am currently taking a biological Taltz which is helping me tremendously. Just started about 6 weeks ago. Redness is gone, flaking skin is gone. **Q: Is the lotion thinner consistency then Cortizone ten cream in the smaller tube? Can you use this on scalp?** A: Look up on Amazon: “Oread Therapeutics Rash Rescue Foam With Hydrocortisone.” It’s a thin foamy consistency. The brand has one made for scalp.
