Also your supposed to be able to use it directly on the pet but it just falls off them anytime they move so every where they lay it stains. It is very irritating to my skin when I got some on my hands trying to rub it into my pets fur a bit. I can only imagine how uncomfortable this is for the pet to have it burning and scratching all over. A horrible thought to think they would lick themselves with it on...food grade or not. Easier to just get a regular flea treatment and use it then go through all the hassle of this. Not to mention the dust that blows about and makes you cough and burns your sinuses. Even if you manage to get it on your carpet with out dust blowing up everywhere (which I doubt) you surely are going to get it trying to vacuum it up.
