The can says auto trim and chrome. The info on the can says all metals, but I don't think I would use it on auto body paint. I did not like it for silverware. What it is is a big mass of cotton soaked with some kind of cleaner. You pull off a wad and that's what you use. I think there are polishes that are much easier and more effective to use. **Q: I have wrought iron railings on my stairs in the house.
