Call Amazon and ask for the number **Q: Does the 507 trimmer have a case?** A: No, but it is light and narrow. If you have ANY sewing skills, you could easily make one OR the box is fairly rugged and should last for a while. BTW, the trimmer is so good. **Q: Would this be able to easily cut through magnetic tape?** A: It would all depend on the thickness. You may wish to score the tape first, simply to make the cut easier. **Q: how do you cut 8"x8" square when the width scale is only 6"?** A: I have the next model up from the cutter you have. The simple answer to cutting an 8" square with a 6" scale is to tell you that you have purchased the wrong cutter. The cutter you bought will cut a 12" X 6" strip. On ANY cutter, the table must hold the desired sheet size.
