Update below: Paired this up with an LG CX OLED. Had to disable LG Sound Sync as seemed to limit some of the features and weaken the overall sound performance. However, after I did that I was really impressed with the clarity and bass. AI Pro mode for games and general content. Standard mode for music. I'm getting some really nice results with this setup. Bluetoothing music from my phone was surprisingly impressive. I'm betting it'll sound even better with some flac content over USB through the PC. I've ordered a £40 graphite optical cable for the first time. My current cables are 3m and I'm pretty sure optical cables attenuate to some extent. If you're finding the sound a bit disappointing then check the standard of your cable. I've temporarily switched to a shorter cable of a slightly higher quality. I've read that these graphite and quartz cables make a big difference. I will report back with an update. Also I have a Dolby Atmos licence on both my PC and Xbox. Was playing Resident Evil 2 remake last night with the Atmos switched on and it sounded supremely good. This is something you should look into if you like extra bells and whistles. Regarding the bad reviews here; I urge you to check your settings and your cable quality. Make sure you're using PCM as little as possible. You want to be feeding it Bitstream Dolby signals. This can be achieved by tinkering with your TV sound settings. Switch everything to Dolby or auto. Use the info button on the soundbar remote to check the current signal type. This is as much as I can think of right now. I'll update if I feel the new optical cable makes a big difference. PS. I had to set the woofer to minus 5. That's how powerful the bass is. Update 5.2.21: Ok so after updating my optical cable to a QED Graphite 1.5m I can confirm that the soundbar sounds even more crisp and clear. I have been able to drop from volume 30 to 20 while gaming. 30 is now far too loud for having people upstairs and downstairs from me. The lip sync is also greatly improved. This confirms my theory that standard optical cables hold back the potential of an audio system. You need a shorter cable of a higher quality. I'll update further if I come across anything worth mentioning. I'm very picky choosy with my equipment but the LG SN4 gets a full recommendation from me if your looking for a midrange soundbar.

Item arrived extremely well packaged the downside was it took three weeks. The soundbar and sub are very sleek and top quality. Set up took a bit of time, we chose HDMI. You have to set the sound output on the tv to HDMI and save. With the sound bar and sub connected to a power source just press the Bluetooth button on the back of the sub and the green light will flash, as soon as it goes static green your connected. Initially I was as a loss to poor sound quality and the remote not working, after a couple of hours of head scratching I realised the sound bar was upside down, I had the LG logo facing out to the room, but it should point to the ceiling. As soon as I turned the right way, boom all good. I know some are going to say idiot...but hang on where is the badge on your car, on the front, certainly not the roof. The sound is improved to the internal TV speakers but the sound bar is only as powerful as the TV amplifier. There is no way it can produce 300w of sound without an external amplifier. So if your TV only produces say 10w that what you get even on a high power sound bar. The little niggle I have is the sound bar is a little high to sit in front of a LG TV on a tv table, it obstructs the magic eye on the TV, the legs on the TV need to be increased by 12mm (1/2”). In the end I moved the soundbar to a lower shelf. Anyway so far all ok, hope my experience helps other.

Very good. Easy to set up and works seamlessly with our LG television- as you would expect.
