I had to get a new fuel pump so I went on Amazon and got the entireunit, pump, filter and pressure regulator. My shift boot keptcoming loose andf I saw it was broken with several attempts to glue it that did not work. I saw the advert for this retainer and for 6 or so bucks I thought what the heck. When it came I put it on and it fit perfect. It has been almost a year and has not moved. It goes around the bottom of the rubber boot and snaps into the consul perfectly.
