**Q: Can this winder hold 0ver 400 yards of yarn?**
A: Thank you for your question. It would depend on the weight of the yarn.  With a lace weight or fingering weight yarns, yes it would but the higher you go up in weight it may not.  the base width is not overly large and may not wind correctly after so many yards. **Q: What is the diameter of the bobbin (the cone or core that the yarn wraps around)?**
A: 3 1/2 inch it is for smaller balls of yarn, if you want a pound of yarn then you will need a bigger ball winder, the one for 36.00 is ideal for bigger yarn balls.

**Q: I only use mine for personal use and all the sudden the wheel doesn't turn with the crank -can it be fixed?**
A: We can send you a replacement.  Please contact Knit Picks Customer Service at (800)574-1323.

**Q: So you still have to wrap it around the wooden holder first?  Isn’t that counter productive?**
A: You only need the wooden holder (called a swift) for yarn that comes in a hank. I use yarn that comes in skeins (like Red Heart, I Love This Yarn, etc.) and just pull from the center. No need for a swift. Hope that helps!
