I previously had Wunderlich bags, German made, very high quality, well made and well fitting. I thought I’d try these bags because the price was attractive. I didn’t expect super quality, but was very pleased and surprised to find how well made these were. Uretek style waterproof zippers, well fitted Velcro/nylon attachments, and excellent capacity. I store straps, ropes, and locking cables in these bags. You never know when you’re going to pick up a moose head (yes! I did.) or other odd thing on a trip and need to hold it down. Or have a pannier break loose and need a strap to secure it. Or a requirement to cable lock your riding jacket to your bike while you eat lunch. Tools fit nicely too, as will many other things.Highly recommend you add these bags to your BMW - easy fit, unobtrusive storage, and well made - what more you could you ask?

The bags connect with 6 or so velcro straps. Lacing the straps around some of the frame members is not easy. Means I am discouraged from using on trips, removing for around home. Not sure of waterproofing yet. The bags do hold a fair amount.

the system doesn't have a very good backing, so it's floppy when it's installed. On top of that, the velcro strips are VERY short, barely able to get around the mounting bars. Not quite worth the $40+ IMHO.
