Smh.** A: Level of ignorance!? I too have used this to water my seedlings and house plants. It works awesome and does the job. The only ignorance here is the assumption that it be used on a garden hose instead of exactly how the pictures show it to be used. I use a 2 liter soft drink bottle (keep the cap for transport.), wash & rinse it and fill with water. To use it, remove the cap, pop on the flexible shower head & when you squeeze the bottle, it sprays. If you attach it to a hose the same diameter as a soft drink bottle, it'll probably work but be careful of the water pressure. Using a 2 liter bottle, it does a good job of rinsing the all dirt & sand off Bernie when we leave the Doggie Park. (He weighs 40 lbs. If you have a large dog, you may need 2 bottles.)
