Spray the protectant according to instructions and let dry completely. This stuff works and Amazon sells it for less than a dealer. I've trusted this product for 20 years on a top that still looks good.... not new, but people ask me when I had it replaced and are surprised to hear it's the original top.

I used this on my BMW 1 series. I treated my entire top and had a little left over. Be sure to tape off your windows and areas that you don't want this to come in contact with. The only caveat I can offer is that this sprays a very fine mist and at a very low pressure. If you apply it outside (which I did) be sure there is absolutely no wind. The mist is so fine that it will easily blow away. The results are excellent. Water beads and rolls off like it's on glass.
