When you compare this one to my 16MM the flats are longer and the corners are more rounded on this cheap one. I have put this socket in my drawer in the back corner as I believe it will only work for a few times and does not fit a fastener correctly. I do not understand why they did not just make these air con fittings use standard or metric tooling. **Q: What size octagonal nut does this fit? I need something for a 16mm octagonal nut** A: this socket fits on a a/c line schrader valve valve **Q: Is this socket required? NO! This socket is required only if the valve is located in an area that restricts use of standard adjustable wrenches.** A: This socket is required if you want to remove the high side AC service port valve correctly and not be a cheese d i c k. Using an adjustable wrench is a good way to strip/round the octagon shaped fastener.
