It's definitely easy to clean I cleaned it out and dried it out before I put anything in it and the glass is nice and thick high quality glass. I don't think it's going to be easily broken at all. It functions exactly how it should seeing as it's just a glass jar it's not really anything crazy special but knowing that it is high quality and isn't going to break and that it is going to have a seal to keep my food fresh is a huge bonus. I feel like it could have been a little bit less expensive but I also know that a glass vessel that big is definitely going to be a little bit more expensive than something that is much cheaper.
