They are made in China and have the capacity rating of 2000mAh. A: Generally, you have to search the cell description to find the rating. There isn't an industry standard as regards what constitutes a "high capacity" cell, so you will see it roughly corresponds to AA cells of 2000 mah and higher. Rarely do AA cells ever exceed 2700 mah, although a few vendors make such claims, which are mostly found to be bogus.

**Q: can i use my eastshine s2 charger? or must use your charger?**
A: Yes you can use the eastshine S2 charger. These batteries are NI-MH.

**Q: are this AA batteries fatter then Alkaline batteries ? i use eneloop lite where i cant use regular eneloops due to size restrictions**
A: Those AmazonBasics High-Capacity AA batteries are slightly fatter than regular eneloop cell, which are alreaddy slightly fatter than alkaline AA. So if you have to resort to using eneloop-lite in battery compartments, then those high-capacity cells are not going to fit.

I am a flashaholic! That is a name that we flashlight nuts call ourselves at a blog we all meet at to discuss the various flashlights we own, what's new, and answer each other's questions when we can. I won't name it here, but search for 'flashaholic' and I'm sure you will find it. I own a couple of very high power flashlights, and a very nice bright lantern for emergency use like power outages. Now, one thing all flashlights do is eat batteries like they are going out of style. Now using alkaline AAs wasn't too bad, since I can get them at our favorite on-line store for about a quarter a piece, but I still found myself restricting use of the two that used them in an effort to save money. But my super high power light was another matter. Replacing eight cells at a time at $2.00 each gets expensive. So when I found myself with a few extra dollars and a great deal on a charger and rechargeable cells at you know where, I jumped at it. But that left the AA lights. Buying eight higher capacity rechargeable AA cells was going to cost around $40.00 USD. But then I ran across these cells here at our favorite store for half that price. Yup, you guessed it - I bought them. And they have been great! I have always had good luck buying Amazon Basics, and this is no exception. They charged up nicely, and work well in my lights. Others will tell you that you should save your money and buy the lower capacity Eneloop-style cells that can be recharged 2,000 times, as opposed to these that can be recharged only 500 times. Well, I got these Amazon Basics for LESS than the price of a similar set of the lower capacity, longer lifetime cells, and less than HALF the price of the equivalent high capacity cells. I figure if I recharge them once a month I will still be using these cells forty years from now, assuming I am still alive by then. Bottom line, if you are looking at rechargeable AA cells, these are the ones to get. Trust me, I work for the government! (I really don't, I just had to say that. My weird sense of humor, don'tcha know!) Edit [10/31/14]: I have now run these cells through several recharge cycles, and they are holding up as well as I expected. Before I got these cells I was using lithium AAs in my one high power flashlight, and these cells are doing just as well as their replacement. The old wisdom is that rechargeable cells don't last as long as alkalines, but make up for it by being rechargeable. Well, that doesn't hold true here. These cells are lasting as long as the lithiums did, and charging right back up ready to do it again. I plan on buying another set as soon as I free up some disposable income. You can't go wrong with these cells and a good charger. Edit 4/5/15: I sat down with by battery log and my calculator the other day, and figured out that I have recharged enough cells to pay for the charger, the original 18650 cells, and the AA rechargeables. From here on in, all my usage is free. It is a great feeling, and these AA cells really helped me get there
