Maybe 3 inches shorter?** A: They make various sizes. I have three sizes. **Q: Fit phantom 3?** A: I dont have a drone. its not padded for that. You would have to buy some foam to fit it. I don't see why not though. **Q: can the 46 fit a Nikon D500 with grip and Nikkor 200-500** A: I don’t know about the Vanguard 46. I have the 53 and I store my D850 with battery grip, my D500 with grip and all my lenses (Nikkor 200-500, 105 macro, 50 f1.8, 10-20, Tamron 70-200, 24-70, 18-400, and Kenko 1.4 TC). Also in the bag are my flash unit, remote shutter release, extra batteries and chargers, and extra memory cards. **Q: Will this fit on an airline carryon** A: Yes that is what I have done.
