I washed it in cold water and hung it to dry in the San Antonio, Texas sunshine all day. The smell was still strong. Draped it over a bed in a spare bedroom overnight. In the morning one could smell the chemical odor before on entered the room. Washed again with detergent in warm water and a vinegar rinse and line dried it all day. Still the smell. Soaked the duvet overnight in water and baking soda, washed it in hot water line dried it all day.
