I’ve had the car roughly a month, and I’ve been scrubbing these stupid love bugs off it EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. since we brought it home. Completely driving myself insane trying to get the guts off without scratching/swirling my clear coat, or letting the guts eat through it. No matter what I’ve tried; other tar and bug removers, fabric softener, WD40, etc.. I haven’t been able to safely or efficiently get it all off. So I decided to see what I could find on Amazon. Came across this listing, read the reviews (the good and bad), and decided why not?? Seriously, BUY THIS $#|+!!! It works! Not kinda works, not its “ok”, It WORKS! The first photo is after about a half hours drive to and from the school Friday afternoon. I didn’t rinse when I got home like I usually do, I let it sit over night in the carport until today (Saturday). Didn’t pre rinse, just squirted the diluted solution on the guts and let it sit. Had bit of a breeze so I applied as needed to keep it wet, and tested random areas by rubbing with my finger every couple minutes. In all, it took about 15 minutes for the love bug goo to basically just wipe off with the sponge. (I bought their sponge too, it’s pretty much free with the coupon code provided in the bug remover listing. Sponge performed like a sponge should lol). I wish I’d found this stuff when I bought the car as there is already some damage to the clear coat for not being able to get it all off before this arrived, but I should be able to get it buffed out rather than having the front end repainted like everything else I’ve ever owned due to these little Hell spawn. Second photo is after removal and a quick rinse. I read some reviews about how it drys cloudy or with streaks.. I think it’s important to point out that this is not a soap, it’s not meant to wash your car and leave it sparkling, it’s to remove bug guts (maybe it removes other stuff as well, I only used it on guts). If you want it to be streak free, spot free, and sparkling.. Rinse and detail your car after. I only rinsed because it’s raining and my carport is open on two sides so washing would be a futile effort.
