That's when I happened on this sampler pack from Lavanta Coffee Roasters.The order arrived very quickly. It comes in a VERY thick clear sealed plastic bag which contains 13 separate foil sealed 2 oz. pouches. I could tell these beans were freshly roasted to order, because when I opened my first pouch (Columbia Supremo) the aroma was just amazing.After grinding the beans (14.4 grams) and placing them in the special filter in the Kalita pour over cup, adding 202 degree water (250 grams) brought up a spectacular "bloom" and more wonderful aroma. And after 3 1/2 minutes of brew time, let me tell you, that was one beautifully smooth and rich cup of coffee. Yummmy.There's enough coffee beans in each pouch for 3-4 cups of coffee, so you get an opportunity to really experience each variety, and then it's time to move on to another region. What FUN!!! And every pouch I've opened has been just as wonderfully fresh as the first pouch!By the way, if you're not into the whole grinding your own beans thing, Lavanta also offers this sampler pack with pre-ground coffee, but trust me, grinding your own beans is the way to go if you can.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this for anybody wanting to experience a large variety of freshly roasted coffee beans from around the world.
