A: Yes. I have used it to extend both a 4 inch and 8 inch auger to get 4 foot deep hole.

**Q: What size is the drive shaft 7/8 or 3/4 round**
A: It provides a 7/8" connection between the powerhead and the auger.

**Q: Are both the male and female ends 7/8 or is male end 3/4**
A: I'm not sure what you mean, but I can tell you that if you had two, the male end of one would fit inside the female of another. I'm not sure of the size.

**Q: will this fit a 7/8" shaft?**
A: Yes, it was designed to fit a 7/8" shaft.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Adds the exact length for getting below frost line

Perfect fit for an Earthquake auger I recently got that was made in 2004. Adds a little weight to the auger, but then again it also makes the holes the required depth for the getting below frost line in Michigan. Saves a ton of time vs. digging by hand since you can get 18 inches further down with this + the bolt it comes with. Downfall was the price. Should have been 20$... Not 40$.
