I think that if it was any bigger it would be too big though so the size is perfect. The nice thing is that you can touch it as soon as you open the pot - it would be pretty useless if you couldn't! We've cooked stuff since and it hasn't even occurred to hubby to use this so I've burnt myself!!! I'm looking forward to doing some jacket spuds later and having the flexibility to lift them all out to turn them.
