Now, of course the issue is how much is actually used by your body. . I really wish when these claims were made that links to the research were provided in the description (or at least what search terms to use to find them) because I get irritated by all the semi scientific words being thrown about with no support. All I could find were safety studies (and they support the fact that CoQ 10 is safe). However in my wandering around in the medical research area of my library database I found that it is not completely clear what benefits it has. I then headed for the Mayo clinic drug information website (which is available to all) and found that there is good (but not strong) evidence for the effectiveness of CoQ10 for high blood pressure and heart failure). However, most of the other benefits are listed as unclear. Strangely, since everyone I know who is on statins is told by their doctor to take CoQ10 to prevent some of the side effects the results are actually not clear. However, since there are not major side effects (other than an upset stomach for some people) taken at the appropriate dose and the evidence is unclear I suppose whether or not you want to take these depends on whether you are experiencing side effects (muscle pain) from your statin drug and want to see if this helps . These capsules are big but soft so I am able to swallow them. I will give it that. I have taken Q10 for a while as an anti-aging supplement. This is a pretty good deal for this amount of Q10. The product claims better absorption, but I am guessing that is just because it is a softgel where the Q10 is mixed with oil. My main issues are the soybean oil and the titanium dioxide. Using olive oil would have been a lot healthier rather than relying on soybean oil, which is high in Omega-6 fats (which most Americans do not need more of). Fortunately, there is very little included here. This is typical of supplement companies and not unique to this company. Also, I don't know why they had to color the softgel white with titanium dioxide. It isn't something I really want in my body. So, if you want a good deal on Co-Enzyme Q10, this is a good one.
