Review: ! - I've used this to paint four cars now. I know it's not the most expensive in their line up but it still very nice. I've used cheaper paint guns and they don't compare with this gun. I found it is easy to take a part and put back together. I've noticed that the fit and finish on this gun is very good. Of course all I have to compare it to is two of my old cheap guns. The trigger pull is smooth and it atomizes the paint perfectly. To boot it came with three different sized tips. The neighbors saw my paint jobs and now want their cars painted. So far I've told them I'm too old to keep this up. SO NO! I bought this for my own car and have only painted my relatives cars. I still haven't gotten around to painting my car yet but I'm still recovering from all the work that goes into painting. What I loved the most about this gun is if you use it correctly it gives professional results. The biggest difference between this and a cheap gun is that it doesn't leave behind orange peel. Until I used this one I couldn't figure out why I was getting mediocre results. I have now learned it has a lot to do with how the gun atomized the paint. What a difference. I now feel like a pro although the pros are way better than me. But this paint gun did make a huge difference. If your going to use expensive auto paint you might as well get a great paint gun. This gun is well made and stood up with consistent results every time. I would recommend if you want your paint job to look great!! I hope this company keeps up the good work!!!
Review: Great gun for beginners like me - I’m a weekend restorer, and am working on rebuilding a CoPart salvages 2014 Scion tC. Body shops wanted $300 to repaint the front bumper and side skirt I needed to replace, but instead I bought this for $217 here on desertcart and then with paint and supplies, still came in under that mark. “Teach a man to fish...” I did a lot of research for an easy to use, beginner friendly paint gun that wouldn’t break the bank. These reviews here plus The Gunman reviews on YouTube led me to this gun. And boy I could not be happier. My first gun sprayed horrible and the clear was pretty bad. I did, in my newness to this skill, mess up by not noticing I was spraying base with the 1.3mm tip, so the base coat did not match factory base pattern, but it is hardly if at all noticeable. Next time I’ll be sure to use the 1.5mm for base I was painting outdoors at about 62-64 degrees F and so it was a bit on the chilly side for paint. Using medium activator for my Euro clear, it laid down wet but had a horrible orange peel effect to it. I reduced PSI to about 12-15 and laid another layer that went better, but still showed orange peel. I think I was spraying too far away and going too fast. The great news is that because it was so cold and because I was using medium and not fast activator, the clear laid out and became super smooth. All in all, I love this gun and how it sprays and how forgiving it is to a beginner like me.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Should I use filters with this gun when using automotive paint or primer?**
A: ALWAYS filter the paint you’re putting in your spray gun!!! IF NOT, there is a 99.999% chance you will have some type issue and have to repaint...

Additionally, ALWAYS thoroughly clean your spray gun after every use...

A GRAM OF PREVENTION IS WORTH A KILOGRAM OF CURE... (Metric Version)

**Q: can you use a smaller cup**
A: Yes, including disposable cups

**Q: how does this sprayer work with latex paints?**
A: Latex paints from a box store (i.e. Sherwin Williams, Behr, etc.) are too thick to spray through this type of gun with 1.8mm tip.

**Q: Would you suggest this gun or a fuji semi-pro? what has a better spray?**
A: I'm not a pro by any means but I love me spray gun. Replacement parts and different size tips seem to be readily available and it lays down paint smooth. Its everything I expected for the price.

*by A***R on June 14, 2016*

last time i sprayed was in 1976! did lacquer w clear on top.Used a Devilbiss siphon feed which shot perfect coats. As you can see I had to come up to speed. HVLP was a learning curve. After prepping the gun, setting the pressure (25-26psi @the regulator on the gun, primed the brand new fenders for my landscape trailer. Used epoxy primer over the bare metal, the gun performed outstandingly well, primer went on smooth, first coat put on light, second coat covered nicely.I was suprised! Top coated w Tractor Supply black enamel. Again the gun shot 2 great coats! no drips or runs. I don t do this professionally so this gun does the trick, if I was serious( or anybody else) then I would step up the grade a bit. For $200 it well worth it.Keep it clean, follow mixing directions, check out the on line videos( you learn a lot!) and have fun! Again, great gun.
