Quality Product.
Make sure you buy the security bar (s) for your door when you purchase this item. We have a smaller slider and it took a few minutes to find the 14-inch security bars, but Amazon does have them. This door does not have the feature where you can latch your slider to the pet door. Not sure how insulated this will be in the Winter, but it seems to be insulated for the Spring. Easy to install but there were no instructions, they expect you to scan a QR code. Their website does have a video, and it truly isn't that difficult. They include a flathead screwdriver to release the top spring, be sure to tighten it once you have the right fit. Worth the extra cost compared to the cheap flimsy doors that require a lot of adjustments to fit. Measure your door height to be sure to order the right size for your house. Both flaps seem to be sealing at the magnets at this time. I will follow up if they quit working after a few months. We bought the extra-large flaps, and our Husky and Lab mix dogs fit through. The only thing we haven't gotten is a set of blinds. Our slider has them built in.

Update: simply adjusted magnets! Flaps don’t always completely close when dogs go in or out
Update: I contacted the seller and the magnets just shifted during shipping. Adjusted the magnets and everything closes properly. Works great now!The door itself and installation seem very solid and airtight. Unfortunately, the flaps don’t always close completely after my dogs use them. Kinda defeats the purpose of spending $800 for an extreme weather door. I have contacted the company, and I’m waiting for a response.

Customer service has great support if you have issues
The two flap system did not always close. I had a single flap unit in the past and the bottom magnetic bar would rise up and help maintain the flap in the correct place. The two flap system has two magnetic bars (one for each flap), but does not rise up to hold the flap. Depending how much force your dog uses when passing through the door, it may not swing enough to have the outer flap catch the outside magnetic bar. It may align with the inside magnetic bar. It will still provide a good seal.I may modify it to only use one flap in the summer months. Watch the video on their site for replacing the flap to see how to remove one of the flaps and magnetic bar.

Quality door but with 1 flaw...
I purchased this door to replace a competitor's version that was poor quality - pure junk. This unit cost a lot more (which is why I bought the other first) but I will stress that you get what you pay for! This unit is visually pleasing, hefty, easy to install and very well built. I purchased the large door version and it is fabulous for my 75lb German Shepherd - and would probably work for a dog with another 20lbs of stature. The only thing I can say against this unit is that the flap doesn't seal well (shown in pictures). I am taking 1 star away from it as a result - and would have taken another if I hadn't first seen how much better this is in every other way than it's competition!

Extreme weather Dog Door
I gave this a 5 star rating. So far it has done the job. We bought a new very well insulated, energy efficient home and wanted a dog door that wasn't on the cheap side. You do get what you pay for. This door was a bit of a challenge to install but I managed and it is solid, not flimsy at all. Our home has 94" doors, vaulted and 10' plus ceilings, so we needed a dog door that was up to a higher standard. I looked at as many as I could find on the 'net and the Endura flap was the best. Called them direct and told me I could get it cheaper on their Amazon site, so they wanted to save me money right away...close to a savings of $250. You absolutely must read/follow the directions and watch the video (on their website) for installing the door, it will help. Know your measurements and follow their directions to choose the proper height. We've had the door for about a month now and it is performing as expected. We'll see how it holds up to the crazy weather here in AZ.

Maybe it's me and my handyma
I just installed my door with the help of a handyman.I had thought the people who complained about a gap had done something wrong. So I read the directions many times over and watched the video a few times, as well as another video from u-tube.My house is under 8 years old and slab on grade. I do not think the problem is my slider. But I have a gap that will feel like an open window when it gets cold. This is North Idaho. And the wind can really blow since we are in a flat area near a really big lake.I'm going to try different insulation strips. And I will send a complaint to Amazon.I hope different insulation applied carefully will make a difference.

The best option for a sliding glass door
Never did I even think about the absolute headache of getting a dog door for a sliding glass door. They advertise it’s super easy. Well, what they don’t tell you is that there are dozens of sizes, dimensions, lengths etc and it took us about 3 tries to find one that fit and was weatherproof. They aren’t cheap but definitely worth not having to get up in the middle of the night to let them out. The flap works great, its magnet and closes perfectly.

It works really well
It is not drafty and the dogs ,3 miniature dachshund and one Scottie all can use the door with ease. This insert is well made .Worth the extra money it cost.
