**Q: What is the distance (center to center) of the mounting holes?**
A: 43mm, this was a non-standard spacing on old Trek, Fisher, and a few other brands.

**Q: Will this adapter work for a 2004 Trek 8000, or do I need the universal adapter?**
A: I have a TREK 9.8 and the mount fits like its custom. The question is "how does brake mount?" On the original the mounting bolts will insert vertically. On the universal the mounting bolts will insert horizontally. Check how your brakes will mount to the adapter.

**Q: Will this adapter work for a 2000 Klein Attitude Race with the 22mm mount holes on the non-drive side chainstay?**
A: I don't know, but likely if your frame has that bump above the middle screw. I used it on a Trek, newer that 2000 and it fit perfectly.

**Q: would this adapter fit a 2005 Trek 3700?**
A: No, it was for Gary Fisher Sugar 4
