But that may not be good for the metal long term, so I found this product to use going forward. I then used a garden sprayer to apply this product a few days later to the inside of the HVAC box, thoroughly soaking the radiator. There was no smell whatsoever. I wore gloves and a mask, in case the salts are caustic to skin, but there were no noticeable fumes. It's been a month. There has been no re-growth. No smell from the HVAC unit. Spray. Let it dry. You’re done. It kills the spores at the root by dehydrating then. It does not bleach the color out of the mold, so it will “look” the same. **Q: Is this the same as the kind you can buy at the store, or is it more powerful?** A: I'm not sure if it's the same stuff that is at the store. We ordered it all online because we were in lockdown at the time.
