The built-in tracking motor rotates the saddled camera precisely against the rotation of the earth and thus the stars remain point-shaped even during long exposures. If you already have a sturdy photo tripod with video tilt head, you can use this Bresser StarTracker astrophoto mount directly with the help of the 1/4 inch and 3/8 inch photo thread holes. The pole height (latitude) is adjusted by the video tilt head.
