I've known my sister my entire life (she's older), but I came across this book and we agreed to ask and answer each other questions every night. There are things I learned about her that I never even know, and vice versa. We laughed together, cried together, reminisced together... I genuinely believe it strengthened our bond. If you can learn that much from your best friend who lives down the hallway.. imagine how much you could learn from anyone else? (you shouldn't do this unless you're both going to be 100% honest in your answers)
