When I purchased this I thought I was buying a replacement rechargeable battery pack. The unit uses disposable AA batteries, and mine came with a pack of AA batteries included. While this is not what I intended to purchase, I kept it as I can see using AA's if on an extended testing/troubleshooting session. **Q: what batteries can i use and are they rechargeable ? and can the unit charge the batteries ?** A: You can purchase a rechargeable module or you can purchase a cheaper module that take 4 ea.
