It smells better than other repellants, but it does still have a strong fragrance. It works for mosquitoes but does not deter deer flies. It did not work well as an anti-itch creme for me, but then I am super sensitive to itches. It is a very good creme for keeping mosquitoes away so I will always keep it around.
