It seems to work really well, crushes ice without a problem. Need to hold downn on the lid otherwise it 'walks' along my counter. Only problem I have with it is that when I took out of the box the clear plastic part in lid was broken off one side. Still can use it tho. Looked into getting it replaced but too much trouble.

The Oster blender came broken, I sent it to my mother as a gift out of the country and when they opened it was broken.Good thing in Venezuela there are electric gadgets repair and a technician fixed it.

How many blender emergencies are there?Good blender if it holds together, but no one answering warranty line and...The blender broke with in two months of purchase, dropping parts out of the bottom of the blender motor unit.Multiple attempts to reach the warranty department at Oster using the only way to contact them ALWAYS results in a message about unusally large number of callers and it immediately drops the call. Is it just a lot of warranty cliams or do they just dump all calls to prevent warranty claims.

I have owned this blender for approximately 4 months and it is often used two times per day for smoothies using frozen fruit and or ice cubes. This blender is much better at producing smooth drinks than my previous kitchen aid blender. The oster die cast is great at ice crushing and blends/whips efficiently. My only negative comment would be that when using the higher setting on whip/liquefy the entire blender, including base, shimmies and does a slow twisting turn on the counter top. The lid even spins on top of the jar. That being said, the results of whip/liquify are perfect but I don't really like the moving blender. I bought my oster die cast blender at costco for around $35.00. I would purchase again due to the outcome of very smooth drinks but wish it was more stable on the counter at higher speeds.

This is my second purchase of this model. The first one lasted many, many years! If I ever need one again, I will buy this exact same one, if available.

Excellent blender, made fruit smoothies with frozen fruit, no problem handling the heavy mixture.Unit came well packed.Canada Post "sucks", the package was on the truck for 3 days, each day the message was the same, arriving "shortly". A similar thing happened to a parcel from Walmart the same week!
