Review: great medication - read the directions and do research! - this flea medication works! a few things to note that i’ve seen in the reviews and it doesn’t seem like people do too much research - not to be abrasive but don’t miss out on a good product because people don’t read. this product is easy to use, effective, and provides protection from all life stages of fleas when used continuously. 1. your dog is still itching after you apply the medication because they have flea bites. they will continue to itch for a few days or weeks until the bites are gone. you can use a oatmeal or anti itch shampoo to help. itching doesn’t necessarily mean continuing biting. 2. you need to get it on to their skin and follow the directions which includes continuing in a line down their back from collar to beginning of tail. 3. if you have an active infestation you should couple this product with a oral medication. it is safe to mix most oral and topical preventatives/treatments. you also need to wash their bedding and vacuum. you can treat these items with diatomaceous earth - put it on bedding or carpet and then vacuum it up. if you don’t feel like doing this just throw the stuff away. you also need to empty your vacuum canister in a bag and take it to the garbage for best results. you should also bathe your dog, it is acceptable to do this with dawn dish soap which is especially effective for fleas. 4. fleas have a life cycle so if you are struggling with an infestation you probably need to repeat the above directions in #3 every week for about 6 weeks in order to kill the fleas. you should readminister an oral medication once a week as well that kills adult fleas. 5. yes dogs die from preventative flea medication. they also die from tapeworms that they get from fleas and fleas are miserable and pesky. it is a cost benefit analysis. dogs die from all sorts of flea medication, generic, oral, topical, or collars. it is a possibility that is listed in the information on this preventative - people don’t think it’ll be their dog. one of my dogs gets seizures from oral flea medication which is why we practice prevention from everyone else in the house and we have her on topical only. 6. this is a generic version of a brand name product. it is the same dosage and ingredients as frontline. the big makers of pet medications have spent billions of dollars in advertising and litigation to make generic pet medications difficult to find and utilize. this is worth a try and it’s a great value for the price.
Review: Affordable and works Amazing - I moved to an area with a lot of wood ticks and was not able to afford flee and tick collars at the pet store at the time. I read the reviews and decided to give it a try. I will definitely reorder this product. I have been using this product for about a month now and have applied the second dose. I have not found a since tick on my dog since. It will last me all summer and into the fall.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: This product contains the same ingredients as the cat formula (though in different ratio). How can the cat version be safe for cats?**
A: Ive done this before and it Will harm your cat. I thought since it had same ingredients that I’d save money by using 1 for my dog & the other two for my two cats
A few days to a week later my cats had these huge wart looking things on their face, it scared me but I never thought about the flea med til I had to take both cars to vet. The vet looked at the cat and asked ‘did you use flea med for dogs on your cats’ so he instantly knew what it was, had to buy meds for cats and the vet bill & meds were crazy.
Horrible mistake on my part but they were well in a few days.
I hope this helps someone to not make the same mistake I did. (I read directions-was nobody’s fault but my own)

**Q: where is this manufactured?**
A: If country of origin is not on the box, it's because it's made in china. Only Amazon trusts chinese products.

**Q: Does this help repel mosquitos? It doesn’t say on the box but just wondering, I live near a lake so mosquitoes are really bad.**
A: ASIN : B07NXTTVW5 is the six 0.045 fluid ounce tubes withOUT mosquito repellent, currently priced at $29.99. Ingredients listed are: "Contains fipronil, and (s)-methoprene, the same active ingredients used in Frontline Plus."

ASIN : B0842PD15K is the six 0.085 fluid ounce tubes WITH mosquito repellent, priced at $39.99 as of March 16th 2021. Ingredients listed on page say: "Contains Imidicloprid, Permethrin and Pyriproxifen, the same active ingredients used in K9 Advantix II Topical Flea, Tick & Mosquito Topical Prevention and Treatment."

Copy and paste the ASIN's into Amazon's search box.

**Q: I've heard this will make your dog have seizure is this true**
A: My dog did not have a seizure. But I cannot answer that for all dogs. Just be sure to get the correct dose for your dogs weight.

### ⭐ Chemically burned out girl! Horrible secondary bacterial infection
*by S***S on May 30, 2026*

I am extremely disappointed and we are going through it over her!!! due to this product, our dog was chemically burned, she is a Shepard so thick coat under coat not easily visible and stopped eating and drinking after we administered this treatment, which she had had in the past with no issues at all. I thought she was upset with us for having given her treatment as she can be short dramatic, I noticed something wasn't right when she started licking at this spot by turning her body abnormally, her skin was crawling as it was burning her when we got a closer look at her skin, we immediately put her into warm water bath and rinsed her off to stop the chemical from staying on her, she developed a secondary bacterial infection from the chemical burns being so bad we have been traumatized fir her by this. We do not understand what happened and why she's used this before with no reactions, this is extremely concerning to us, she is so much pain her entire upper neck shoulder blade area is just like this as well. Her skin and hair is falling out and off scabbing and then all her hair fell out and exposed more to flesh, shes got an in infection so it's a horrible smell, we are and have been so so worried about her and she is still struggling. We have spent so much on this, and for this to even have happened is unacceptable. A allergic reaction is one thing that was not what this was, she's had many flea treatments in the last and never ever have we went through anything of the sorts, she's even had this one! So needless to say when we realized it was burning her skin off we had a major what the heck moment, this is horrible for her and all of us, we thought we were going to lose her she is still fighting a bad bad infection and the pain is terrible her tounge was burned from having licked it which is something we usually keep her from doing but she did it at night the first evening overnight unbeknownst to us she was not tripping out from the fleas dieing off she was suffering, this has broken our hearts we are continuing to work day in and day out to keep it covered with a light layer so she doesn't lick she is on antibiotics, her hair is still falling out in giant clumps when warm water rinsed and it's traumatized all of us. Out poor dog, I don't know why this happened but we are extremely upset it did, knowing it should not have happened and didn't before this had been very hard on us for her. We just don't want another animal to suffer the way our girl did and still is. It's been two weeks and we are still fighting to keep her well. Someone please if possible reach out to us and make this right in some way if there is even a way to really right this. Our dog could still not make it and if something is wrong with the product it needs pulled from shelfs, this is the worst thing I've ever went through, and it's not acceptable. Would love a customer service representative or someone for the product management team to reach us as soon as possible. We are really struggling here.
