Perfectly soft, great quality thread netting!
I am extremely happy with my purchase! I researched a good amount before buying as I know that some netting is much stiffer than the higher quality that came with my sergers. This is a perfectly soft, fine mesh that feels very high quality! Though, it has some negative reviews, I believe those reviewers expected it to fit smaller sewing machine thread. For anyone that wants netting for serger cones, wooly nylon, or any spools that are 1000yds or larger, this is the netting to get!!! It's super soft, fine netting that fits every size serger spool that I have perfectly! I experimented when I 1st received it on some of the different sized threads that I have. It was just ok for the smaller 250yd sewing machine thread(tho it was on the loose side) but I felt it was definitely too loose for the smallest 110yds spool. The largest I have is the huge 8500yds of woolly nylon (measuring 4"wide x 7"high) and it fit that very well along with my 2000yds, 3000yds, & the shorter 1000yds cones. I love the fact that it can be cut to whatever size you need! I'll post pics to show the results. To be able to use it while on the machine & stop it from tangling when serging, I cut it the exact length of the spool and then pull it down about an inch from the top to tuck some underneath the spool so it doesn't slide off while serging. And that also allows the thread some room at the top to feed easily into the thread tree. This netting is also a time saver as it allows for me to be able to leave them on the cones for storage. I otherwise found it to be a pain to keep transferring the few that came with my machines every time I changed colors. I am so happy that I found this netting and will definitely come back for more when I run low!!! Hope this helps!

This Is THE ONE or 1/2 lb. and 1 lb. Industrial Spools
I have been quite pleased with this purchase. It keeps my thread from unraveling and getting caught under my thread stand. It works great, and I've appreciated the cut-to-length style that it's sold in. That way I can cut it long enough to tuck under the spool. It works for both 1/2 pound and 1 pound industrial sewing spools.I tried a different brand and it was WAY too tight. The other brand messed with my sewing machine tension. This brand doesn't affect sewing machine tension. This brand is a soft / pliable type nylon. No complaints, it just works great.Buy some and you'll see what I mean!

THREAD CONTROL !!!
So Nice !!! I use Cone Spools (Mostly Poly or Nylon #69)Pro:+My spools of thread are now under control. The tails are no longer wagging all around, getting tangled.+When using a spool of larger size thread (Polyester #69) it would occasionally slip down to the bottom and get tangled in the bottom of the spool or spool holder. You know that yank you get now and then? This spool net eliminates that issue.+Not too tight, the thread spools off easily with the netting on the cones.+ VERY ECONOMICAL !!!Con:- Not a huge issue, but it is a tad harder to see the thread color. But totally worth it to me.TBD: Time will tell if this netting will hold it's shape over time. But it's so economical, I can toss it when the spool is empty and put new net on the new spool.

Works great for controlling thread for storage
Works great for controlling thread for storage, not so much for control on the machine. It is too loose even on the large cones

Firm hold, especially for smaller spools.
To manage long length of mesh, I placed looped coil of mesh tubing into plastic food storage container, feeding mesh in through hole cut in lid. This way, I pulled out and cut off the needed length. Tip: For thread cones and larger spools, I measure length on spool plus depth at bottom, then hand-stitch and tightly gather mesh 1/2 inch from bottom. Turn mesh inside out, placing gathered end up inside bottom of cone (photo 2). When spool is placed on sewing machine spindle, gathered end of mesh will push up inside while keeping keeping enough mesh around thread cone to avoid thread tangles (photo 3)

Would not repurchase
I bought a large quantity of thread nets years ago and they were so nice...straight, unwrinkled and would fit my small 1000 meter spools, but also expand to fit my 5000 meter cones of embroidery thread. The net I received from this seller were gnarled, twisted and very large and would only fit my 5000m cones. Have to try to locate some to fit my 1000m spools. Very disappointed in this item.

Awesome Stuff
Love the stuff, A while back bought a wool winder it was & is great I use the SMB on my rolls of yarn, pens, pencils, paint brushes, my fusible things, when I send my kids & friends the DIY 5D's I put them in a sleeve of the netting. Also roll my binding on a tube from the foil, s. wrap, as long as it is a strong tube then make a sleeve for them.Have tried others but here I am & to stay. This product is well made, stands up to uses, I am sure there are a lot more uses for it I just know I love this stuff. 100% in my book. Thanks Deb

Really too thin and too stretchy
The headline says it all. Very thin and very stretchy. It stretches out of size and just slips off of smaller spools. Not sure what I'll use this for but too difficult to return with the covid situation.
