This product was used on the floor and my cat loved it. So much, that within a month she managed to peal the hemp scratching material from the wooden base. After a quick inspection, it was clear they went a little light on the glue. Grabbed my hot glue gun and smothered the base with it and it's as good as new. So it's a good looking product and works well, just be prepared to possibly make some repairs on it.
