Gum shield looks small when it comes. However it fits perfectly in the mouth and installation is quick and easy. The mint flavour in it has a great taste and would definitely recommend. I have bought this gum shield on two occasions and it is amazing and perfect for its use. Defiantly worth its price!

These are great as they can be moulded perfectly. However, you must follow instructions as a second too long in the hot water and it will be difficult to shape as it gets very soft. You can trim with a scissors after if it’s too high etc. very comfortable.

Brought for my son who needed one as he grinds his teeth in his sleep and this was supposed to fit as I ordered for his age but it is too big and doesn't stay up. He also says it hurt his gums and when I looked it was too high and pushing on the top of his gum where it meets his face.

They really do just fit straight out of the box, no heating in water etc. My kids are 11 and 13, they both love these gum shields for playing rugby.Note - we checked with Team Coach and they do appear to be 'legal' /suitable for use in club training/matches according to RFU England site.As they fit so much better than the ones you heat up both kids are no longer fiddling with their gum shield, or carrying it in their hand when the ball comes their way - hence improved their playing too! Also better fit allows them to talk with it in. Forgot to mention little V shape at front also allows better breathing, which my son appreciates because he suffers runny noses and that makes breathing a problem with the old style ones.Only complaint is the rubber is thinner and could get chewed through easily if the wearer tends to stand and chew on it - like my daughter!However as the snap fit is such a genius product, and stays in on it's own - always - I am still awarding 5 stars.Have recommended to everyone at the rugby club - adults and kids.

I'm sitting here in quite a lot of pain, wishing I could give zero, or even minus stars for this item.I grind my teeth fairly badly in my sleep, and the mouth-guards that the dentist makes are fairly expensive and get chewed through quickly, so I sometimes use sports gumshields as a cheaper alternative. I thought I would give this OPRO guard a try as it looks and sounds fairly good and I was attracted by the "snap-fit" claim that the manufacturer made.It didn't snap-fit. It was extremely loose so I had to resort to the boiling water method and followed the enclosed instructions carefully. This did, indeed, improve the fit so off I went to bed for a hopefully grind-free night. However, after less than two hours I had woken up with pain and the taste of blood in my mouth so I went to the bathroom to check what had happened.Where the shield had been resting/rubbing against the inside of my cheeks there were large blood blisters - one down in the main part of the cheek and one higher up, between the tooth and the top part of the cheek. The higher one on the right side had burst. Obviously I did not put the gum shield back in but the harm had already been done.I have attached two photographs which show the lower down of the blisters. I could not stretch my mouth enough to fit a camera in at the right angle to take photos of the higher up ones as my teeth are in the way.I can't return this item to the manufacturer as my husband has thrown the packaging away. However, I can put this review here in the hope that other people will see it before ordering this item.I would highly recommend that this product be withdrawn from sale.

Had mouth guards before for the kids, but we needed to regularly remould them by placing them in hot water to fit. These ones are nice and simple and require no boiling/heating to fit. There is just a simple empty track to hold the top teeth in place safely.My kids are 8 &11 so We ordered two of the junior ones, as it states junior is for children up to 11. It was fine for my 8-year old but we had to return the second one for my 11-year old as it was clearly going to be far too small before we even opened it, so will be getting her the adult version.The mouth guard comes in a variety of bright colours but the kids wanted the white.Overall a great product and recommended.

Having spent too much money over the years for special moulded guards that my kids still find uncomfortable as they make the front of it too high EVERY TIME, I am really happy to pay just £6 for something that does the job. Kids suck the guard in when using it, so it stays where it should and guards the teeth. It is 'sectioned' so it isn't solid all the way round like the 'boil' guards which makes it much comfier. I got the junior kids size and it just fits my 13 year old son (who is 155cm - so not terribly tall) who has a small mouth. I would say for taller boys, you would want to go the size up.

It fits my mouth but kinda tastes like dish soap.

Perfect for the kids

Not the biggest fan of this product. I purchased the adult size (even though I’m a petite person) and I still find it way too small even after I boiled it.

My daughter uses her mouth guard in her martial arts class and I love not having to boil it to have her fit her jaw. In the past I've had to get ones that melt away after boiling, so to find one that just snaps into her mouth, is flexible, and is favorably priced is just perfect for our needs.

I am an adult female, and I was previously provided with an adult sized mouthgaurd by my martial arts teacher, but found it destroyed my lips and cheeks because it was way too big for my mouth. So I bought my own (and got a colored one so no one could claim it as their own) and tried to find a smaller size so it would fit comfortably. I took a chance and bought youth- and it's great! I would definitely recommend anyone who has an uncomfortable fitting mouthgaurd to try this one out.
