This is a nice quality product. The sand is a great color and good texture. The wood is very sturdy and of higher quality. However what genius made this product without a proper cover? No lid or anything.

I was actually wildly hesitant to buy this for some reason but I’m glad I did. It’s sturdy, seems well made, comes with a stylus, “eraser” AND sand. I wasn’t clear if it came with sand or not, but mine did. My daughter likes practicing her letters in the tray, and I like helping her (doodling in the fine yellow sand is weirdly zen.) The “eraser” was a huge selling point for me because I thought erasing by hand might turn it into a sand play tray. All in all great buy if you’re teaching letters, and especially if you’re doing it the Montessori way.

My grandson really likes it; he is getting better at printing his letters. It’s a good tool to help with learning.

I just received the sand tray. I am very happy with the box and was pleasantly surprised that a small bag of yellow sand came with it. The wooden writing utensil is missing. That is upsetting because I was looking forward to having my students use it at the writing center.

Definitely a great resource for teaching toddlers and preparing for writing! I love it really!
